Academic Qualification

Dr.Tan Thai Soon obtained his Doctor of Business Administration from University of Newcastle, Australia, specializing in the study of Knowledge Management and Malaysian Enterprises. He holds a Master of Science in Management Accounting and Planning from University Utara Malaysia and Bachelor degree in Economic Studies from University of Newcastle,UK.

Professional qualification

In his pursuit of lifelong learning, he has obtained and joined several professional association. He is an associate member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (ACTIM), a member of  Malaysian Associate of Company Secretaries (MCCS), and a fellow member of Malaysian Institute of Management (FMIM). He is also a Certified financial Planner (CFP) and a Registered Financial Planner (RFP).

Working Experience
He has obtained substantial experience in management consultancy assignments while attached with an international consulting firm include carried out feasibility study as special consultants, monotoring of housing projects, corporate recovery and receivership assignments. He has more than 18 years experience in corporate secretarial and taxation matters.

Professional Experience
He is a trainer registered with Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (HRDF), a working committee to Companies Commission of Malaysia Training Academy (COMTRAC), and a tax committee with Malaysian Association of Company Secretaries (MACS).

Publication
He has made contributions on articles to various international journals. He authors books in taxation and knowledge management include Malaysian Property Taxation, Malaysian Personal Taxation, Efficient and Effective Tax Planning for Employers and Individuals, and Strategic Knowledge Management in Malaysian Enterprises.
